- If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?
I would travel the world finding unique ways to stifle the poverty issue in countries with particularly high homeless populations.
- What is your favorite Mizzou memory?
My favorite Mizzou memory is going to Mizzou After Dark activities with my friends every Friday night, making crafts, eating food, playing games and more.
- Who would you say is/are your role model(s)? Why?
One of my role models is Brandon Stanton, founder of Humans of New York. I believe people always have a story they need to tell and the world always has stories it needs to hear. Brandon tells the stories of those around the world that broaden your perspective, make you empathetic and open your eyes, one photo at a time.
- What quote do you live by?
“Ne te quæsiveris extra” – Ralph Waldo Emerson (Latin for: “Do not seek outside yourself”)
- How was your transition process into Mizzou from high school?
I did not enjoy my first month at Mizzou. Coming from a very diverse Chicago-suburb school, it was hard coming to a roughly 70 percent white university. I felt alone. But, after joining organizations like the Asian American Association and Missouri International Student Council, I felt like I could make Mizzou what I wanted it to be based on how I spent my time and who I surrounded myself with.
