What is your favorite Mizzou memory?

My favorite Mizzou memory is the 2018 Missouri vs. Georgia “Gold Rush” football game. My roommate, his brothers, and I were in the third row of the student section at the fifty-yard line, so we had pretty much perfect seats the whole game. The weather was great, the stadium was packed, and us fans were loud.

During the game, I was on ESPN cheering after a touchdown. Family friends back at home watching the game sent pictures of us on their home TV screens, which I thought was totally awesome! I’ll never forget how fun that day was for me as a new student at this university.

Who would you say is your role model? Why?

My role model is my younger sister Emily. An incoming freshman to Mizzou (s/o Class of 2024!), Emily embodies all four of Mizzou’s core values of respect, responsibility, discovery, and excellence. She not only has respect for others, but others respect her for the work she does.

Responsibility regarding time management and scheduling have led Emily to find excellence in both her athletic and academic careers, a trend that I doubt will change during her time here. She is also one of the most adventurous people I know, never turning down the opportunity to make a positive change in the world.

I look up to my sister for infinite reasons, but those four values give an idea as to why I love her so much.
