What brought you to Mizzou?

I remember going to special events at Mizzou growing up (State Music Festival, State Basketball Tournament, State Geography Bee, etc.), and I just felt enchanted by the campus. In fact, I wrote a letter to my parents when I was 12 telling them I would probably go to Mizzou. Neither of my parents attended the University, but they both loved the idea of having a Tiger in the family, as they have been fans of Mizzou athletics throughout the years.

Who would you say is/are your role model(s)? Why?

My role model is my 8th grade teacher and family friend, Diane Lade. Mrs. Lade gave 100% in whatever she did, no matter the circumstances that were in her life. She made everyone feel important, and highlighted his or her talents and skills. She pushed students to reach their full potential, academically and as a person in general. I aspire to be at least half of the woman that she is.

What is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

The patio of Buck’s Ice Cream with a scoop of tiger stripe on a cake cone in hand.

If you had a theme song to describe yourself, what would it be and why?

“Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake because it’s a positive, up-beat song and that is how I try to live my life.  Also it says “so keep dancing”, which I do every day regardless of how bad I am at it.
