If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?
My dream is to have my own talk show called “Mornings with Mina” where I can make people laugh, make them jubilant, and just allow them to have a safe place to go to when they’re having a rough day. With this, I hope to have Bradley Cooper on my show and ask him about his ridiculous good looks!
Who would you say is/are your role model(s)? Why?
My role model would have to be Ellen DeGeneres because she is the type of talk show host that I could only dream of being one day! Her positive attitude and ability to make anyone laugh is incredible! Along with Ellen, beluga whales stand out as a role model to me. They are just so happy all of the time and it makes me so cheerful to experience their happiness.
What excites you the most about being a 2017 Summer Welcome Leader?
Coming to Mizzou, I was very nervous that I would not be able to find a place here and feel at home. When I went through the Summer Welcome experience as a student, I was able to feel comfortable with the campus and really see myself here! I hope to make other students feel the same level of comfort that I went through during Summer Welcome and feel like they can call Mizzou home!
What is your favorite spot on campus? Why?
My favorite spot on campus is definitely the quad and the columns. It’s super cliché but when I went on my first campus tour of Mizzou, I walked by the Columns first and saw people laying out reading, playing Frisbee, and being super college! It was the most grown up and collegish thing I had ever experienced.
What is your favorite dining hall and why?
Hands down the best dining hall on campus is Dobbs. I can talk about this for hours on end. From the shortest sandwich line to the quality pasta, Dobbs never fails to be there for me when I’m feeling down. R.I.P. Dobbs: Gone, but never forgotten.
