Summer Welcome for Transfer Students

Please note: Summer Welcome 2021 is an online orientation that will fully prepare you for life at Mizzou while also keeping you safe. As we work to create the best possible experience for you this summer, the details below will likely change, and we will update this page as new information becomes available.

During this one-day orientation designed specifically for transfer students, you will…

  • Learn to find your way around campus
  • Get to know your future classmates
  • Complete any required placement exams
  • Meet with an academic advisor from your chosen major
  • Register for your fall classes

Summer Welcome Leaders will tell you about campus, answer your questions, and share their experiences of college life at Mizzou.

Confirmation/Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your Summer Welcome registration, your registration fee may be refunded if you cancel at least three business days before your scheduled session. Cancellations within three days of your registered session are not eligible for a refund.

If your plans to attend the University of Missouri for the fall semester have changed, you may receive a refund for your $300 enrollment fee prior to May 1. Visit for more information on cancelling your admission.


Getting involved at Mizzou

Once you’ve arrived on campus, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to getting connected with people who share your interests.

TEAM (short for Transfer Experience and Advising Mentors) is a mentoring program that will pair you with an experienced Mizzou student to help you with your transition.
