My favorite spot on campus:
The Rec Center, of course — there is so much you can do there! There are so many ways you can get exercise, the rainforest vibe is perfect for a study sesh, and the Tiger Grotto literally makes you feel like you are on vacation.
One of my favorite Mizzou memories:
After the Tiger Walk, which is where the whole freshman class runs through the Columns, a few of us went to play sand volleyball by Stankowski Field. The sun was setting, people were playing soccer, some were walking on the track and music could be heard from a speaker. As the night went on, more and more people joined the game, and it was cool to see everyone interacting and wanting to meet each other. The experience showed me that this new chapter in my life was not going to be as intimidating as I thought.
What I’m most excited for at Summer Welcome:
Meeting new people! Before I came to Mizzou, I was worried about how I was going to make new friends since the school is pretty big and the size was a little overwhelming for me. But the way things were organized at Summer Welcome Orientation and Welcome Week really gave me a chance to put myself out there and meet new people. I am excited to see and help the incoming class of 2027 do the same and build lasting relationships in just one day.
