What excites you the most about being a Summer Welcome Leader?

The opportunity to help the class of 2021 get super excited to become a part of the Mizzou family! Coming from out of state, I had a lot of concerns before coming to college so I would like for the students to know that they are not alone in this process and welcome them with open arms! Also, obviously looking forward to all the dance parties…

What is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

As cliché as is it sounds, I love the Columns. Not only are they the “face” of our Mizzou campus but they also signify the founding of this University and have great history behind them. Every time I walk by the Columns I am reminded of my first visit to campus and the beginning of my love for all things Mizzou.

If you had a theme song to describe yourself, what would it be and why?

Soak Up the Sun by Sheryl Crow has always been one of my favorite songs. Sheryl Crow is awesome both because she is a Mizzou grad and she has an incredible voice. I think this song describes my life because it talks about soaking up every opportunity in life and always seeing the bright side. I can’t wait to Soak Up the Summer with all my experiences as a Summer Welcome Leader!

If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?

I would say become a professional singer. Since I sing all throughout my day, making a living out of it would hardly seem like work at all. No matter where I am around campus whether it be walking to class or doing homework at the student center, I am always humming some tune. Not even ashamed to admit that one time I was singing so loudly in my dorm room that my neighbors slipped a piece of paper under my door letting me know they could hear me.
