If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?
If I could do absolutely anything with my life I think that I would want to take the next 3-5 years away from school and be a background dancer for a few celebrities. I think it would be a ton of fun since I do enjoy dancing so much. I was on a hip-hop dance group in high school, and now in college I don’t get to do that as often so I always make sure to participate in MizzouThon; Mizzou’s 13.1 hour dance marathon, where all money raised goes towards a renovation of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital here in Columbia. Then after my 3-5 years on the stage I would return to my studies and get into Medical School so I can become my dream job as a pediatrician.
What brought you to Mizzou?
A coin toss! I narrowed down my college search down to two schools (Mizzou and University of Iowa) conveniently school colors were the same. Anyway, the day before May Day arrived my senior year, I needed to figure out what school I was going to, so I did what anyone would do, let a piece of metal decide my fate. Heads meant I was going to Mizzou, and tails meant the alternative. As you could guess it landed heads up and I have been able to make Mizzou my home ever since!
What is your favorite spot on campus? Why?
My favorite spot on campus is definitely within the Student Center. I think that location is one location on campus that truly embodies Mizzou. The Student Center is a common space for everyone, and it offers a ton for students. No matter your age, major, or where you are from you can find a nice booth or couch, to study or catch up with friends.
What is your favorite dining hall and why?
After living on campus for three years now I would have to say that my favorite dining hall is Plaza 900 simply because whenever I don’t know what I’m in the mood to eat I know I have options at Plaza. Also going to Plaza is great because you can bring even the pickiest eaters of your friends and they too can find something to eat. Which means it’s the best place to eat for a large group of your friends. Also that’s where Sandy is and it’s always great to see her when you walk into Plaza with a smile on her face and the simple “How are you today?” question she asks!
