On-Campus Sessions
Here’s what you should bring along to your on-campus orientation session.
- Your myZou student number (eight digits)
- Photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport (required to obtain your Mizzou ID card)
- Completed immunization documentation, if you have not already sent it to MU Student Health
- Comfortable walking shoes and casual clothes
- Reusable water bottle
- Umbrella in case of rain
- (Optional) Laptop, if you’d like to have it configured for the campus network while you’re here
Additional items if you’ve registered for the optional overnight stay during Summer Welcome:
- Electronic chargers and phone cords
- Bathrobe and shower shoes (residence halls have separate community bathrooms for men and women)
- Personal items/toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, hair dryers, etc.
- Change of clothes for day two
- Residential Life will provide linens and sheets. Please plan to bring any additional items as needed for your stay.
Virtual Sessions
If you are unable to attend orientation in person and opt for one of our virtual sessions, make sure you have the following ready prior to your scheduled orientation date:
- A laptop or desktop computer is recommended, but you can access your Zoom sessions via a mobile device or tablet if needed (make sure you have a full charge!)
- Reliable internet connection
- A place to take notes
- Finding a quiet, private space is recommended, but if you will be in a shared or public area, make sure you use headphones or earbuds
