Why am I excited about Summer Welcome?:
I am most excited for all of y’all to come to campus and get to experience it! I was so indifferent going into Summer Welcome, it was just another thing for me before I got to move off to college, but I LOVED Summer Welcome. You’ll hear it a million times, but one of my best friends was someone I met at Summer Welcome, and I have run into everyone from my group out in the wild. Having just those couple people who I recognized—even if we weren’t friends—made campus feel just that much smaller and less scary!
My favorite Mizzou memory:
My favorite memory was first semester; my friends had a weekly dinner night where we would meet up and cook home-favorites. One night, our friend who can actually cook needed us to open a can of beans, and somehow every single one of us forgot our can openers. So, we took it outside and broke it open with a screwdriver. It was just so odd and random and full of laughter, it’s one of those random stories you share reminiscing ten years down the line.
